THE WATER CYCLE
Water stays on the Earth forever, it never actually leaves. It's continuously cycled through the atmosphere, ocean, and land. This process is called the water cycle, and it's driven by the energy from the sun. The existence of life on Earth was caused by the Water Cycle.

To make it simple, the water cycle goes through stages from ocean water evaporating and then condenses to form clouds and then rains/precipitate which then the water come down and goes through surface runoffs (groundwater) and then accumulates back into the ocean.
